Dossier is on a mission to redefine the way people shop perfumes by providing clean, ethical, high-quality versions of iconic perfumes at fair prices. Their fragrances are made in total transparency in Grasse - the perfume capital of the world - with the highest standards and values in mind.

The Challenge

In the beginning of 2023, Dossier team knew that rising CAC was eating away at the margins. They wanted to prioritize retention and turn one-touch shoppers into engaged brand loyalists who would keep coming back to discover new perfumes. Building an unmatched experience that would make it easy for shoppers to subscribe to Dossier while rewarding them for their loyalty has become a top priority.

Solution

Dossier worked with Subscribfy to build Dossier Plus, their custom Membership Subscription program. They created a holistic loyalty experience by combining their points-based loyalty program (powered by Yotpo) with the VIP Membership.

Dossier built a program where a shopper can choose to become a VIP at checkout. VIP members are charged $39 every month, this charge becomes $39 in store credit that can be spent site wide.They get 10% off all products plus access to preferred deals and member-only products and sales. This experience ensures that every time a VIP customer shops with Dossier, they’re rewarded for their loyalty.

Providing an impeccable shopper experience is a priority for Dossier. They worked closely with Subscribfy team to design the UX that seamlessly fit into their branding. They made sure that shoppers are completely in control of their membership. Canceling or pausing the subscription can be done in a few clicks via a branded shopper portal.

Impact

A year into the Dossier+, an impressive 200,000 shoppers joined the membership program with close 50,000 being active members. Subscribfy and Dossier teams worked closely to design the offer that would excite and engage shoppers.

Not only do Dossier Plus members already have a 102% higher LTV, they’re also opening and interacting with Dossier marketing emails 4x more often.

Introducing VIP Memberships has transformed Dossier shoppers’ participation in the loyalty program. 45% of shoppers are opting in to become members - a huge testament to Dossier products, and to how this UX is a valuable and engaging experience for shoppers.
